Meet Leigh Lyons

L.R. (Leigh) Lyons is a human resources champion, mediator, facilitator, and public speaker with more than 20 years of experience working for the Commonwealth of Virginia. She began her career in human resources at Emory University of Atlanta, GA. She later relocated to Richmond, VA, to work in state government, where she continues collaborating with business leaders on employee engagement, team development, and workplace disputes. Leigh has primarily worked in the healthcare, taxation, and transportation industries.

In March 2019, Leigh launched Lyons HR Consulting, LLC management firm to consult with business leaders on ways to enhance employee engagement for organizational success. She understands that traditional performance feedback methods are no longer effective because of the rapidly changing demographics in today’s workforce. Leigh finds it rewarding to share her experiences with individuals and organizations striving for cultural change.
